These BRAND NEW MK.III Skill Bands have been specially designed to fit snugly around the rim of any 32mm base. Building on the success of the MK.II version, this updated design makes small but meaningful improvements to fit, finish, and readability.
Like the previous generation, the MK.III bands use durable, brightly coloured silicone with clear, contrasting screen-printed text. Each skill type retains its distinctive “base colour” for easy recognition, while frequently used skills such as Block, Dodge, and Wrestle continue to carry their own familiar colours from within the community.
What’s new in the MK.III version:
-
Improved fit: The bands are slightly shallower, so they sit neatly against the rim of a 32mm base without rising above the lip. This helps avoid clashes with models whose details spill over the base edge.
-
Cleaner finish: The top edges have been refined, removing flashing or roughness for a smoother, premium feel.
-
Better readability: Strength skill bands now use a slightly deeper colour tone, making the printed text easier to read during play.
-
Consistent production quality: Manufactured with a new supplier, the MK.III bands benefit from tighter quality control, improved colour consistency, and sharper print application.
The MK.II bands will gradually be phased out, with remaining stock offered at a reduced price for those who want to complete their collections or pick up a budget alternative.
With MK.III now launched, development has also begun on a 25mm version — watch this space!
Installation remains just as simple as before: stretch the band gently up and over from underneath the base. There’s no need to pull it over a miniature or scenic basing, keeping your models safe from damage.
Why make a MK.III?
I know many of you will be wondering why I’ve created an MK.III version when the MK.II bands were already such a solid and popular product. The simple answer is: I had no real choice.
The supplier who produced the MK.II bands was very difficult to work with. Quality control was inconsistent, mistakes were frequent, and colours often failed to match the level of consistency I needed. This sometimes meant products reached me — and occasionally you — that weren’t up to the standards I expect for my brand.
When I tried to address these issues, I was met with indifference. Eventually, when I requested the production moulds so I could move to a more reliable manufacturer, they refused and falsely claimed the moulds were “broken.” This forced my hand: I had to invest in brand-new moulds and start fresh with a new supplier, at significant expense.
The positive side is that my new supplier has been excellent. They are fully committed to maintaining high standards, with strong quality checks, consistent colours, and clean finishes. The MK.III bands are the result of this change — a natural evolution rather than a planned replacement.
So, while MK.II bands served the community well and remain a product I’m proud of, the MK.III bands represent a step forward in reliability, consistency, and finish.
