MK.II Heavy Metal Miniature Bases

The original Heavy Metal Miniature Bases were all about giving your minis that satisfying extra weight and a premium look. For MK.II, I’ve pushed that idea even further.

Each 32mm MK.II base now weighs 13.35g – a full 4.55g heavier than the original MK.I base. That’s an increase of over 50%, giving your miniatures a noticeably more substantial, planted feel in the hand and on the tabletop.

And the extra weight is only part of the upgrade. MK.II also brings cleaner edge detailing, improved basing adhesion, a more versatile design and a much wider choice of plating finishes.

The shape and edge detailing have been refined, giving the MK.II bases a cleaner profile that more closely matches the look of traditional plastic miniature bases.

The colour ring has been removed completely. Instead, the entire base is finished in your chosen plating, making it much easier to use across different games, teams and miniature systems.

Choose from six plating finishes:

• Classic Black

• Metallic Black

• Antique Gold

• Antique Silver

• Antique Bronze

• Goblin Green (colour matched to the original 90s colour)

The Prone and Stunned indicators have also been removed from the underside, another change designed to move Heavy Metal Bases beyond a single game system and make them suitable for miniatures of all kinds.

Up top, the surface texture has been increased to give glue and basing materials better adhesion, whether you're adding flock, sand, grass, texture paste or building a more elaborate scenic base.

The 32mm MK.II Heavy Metal Miniature Bases are also compatible with Charlie Victor Skill Bands and Ball Carrier Tokens.

MK.II launches in 32mm only, with 40mm and 25mm versions potentially joining the range in the future.
