The original Thick Skull L and XL cases were a huge success, both through Kickstarter and the online store. Widely regarded as one of the best storage solutions in the community, the Thick Skull XL quickly became a fan favourite. Now, I’m excited to introduce the MK.II Thick Skull XL, a refined, upgraded, and unrivalled version that builds upon everything that made the original great while adding new features, improved functionality, and a fresh look.

After years of design experience, feedback from the community, and testing, I’ve refined the Thick Skull XL to create a case that’s better at protecting your miniatures and accessories, while offering more storage, improved usability, and now with colour options, and this all comes with the high-quality production you have come to expect.

What’s New?

Refined Appearance

• Now available with outer trim and internal stitching in three colours: Dirty Trick Blue, Mighty Blow Red, and the new Assassin Purple.

• The Charlie Victor Products logo now appears in classic yellow on the exterior while maintaining the debossed feel.

• New “Fouling Studs” on the underside improve stability, making the case far less likely to tip over when standing upright.

• Completely redesigned packaging with enhanced internal foam padding helps ensure safe delivery worldwide.

Improved Internal Layout & Storage

• More efficient storage layout: the Pitch & Dugouts are now stored in the lid, freeing up the bottom for double layers of standard miniature foam trays.

• The rulebook compartment has been improved with a single strap for easier access, plus a little extra space for those who use rulebook tabs.

• Tolerance adjustments provide a snug, protective hold for Pitches, Dugouts, and Rulebooks, reducing the risk of damage.

• New half-layer foam design: now includes x2 half foams to securely hold a full-size dice cup, two slim dice cups, x16 32mm miniatures, and 2x Big Guys.

• In addition, it comes as standard with two more Half Miniature Foam Layers (x12 32mm + x2 Big Guys).

• Miniature holes are:

  • 32mm x 53mm x 30mm deep for the smaller slots

  • 53mm x 75mm x 30mm deep for the larger slots

• Upgraded internal pockets: zipped flap pockets have been replaced with stretchy mesh versions for easier access. There is one large pocket for papers, cheat sheets, dice mats, etc., plus four medium pockets for easy organisation of accessories.

• The protective foam layer is now built into the internal flap and is no longer removable, reducing the risk of damage to miniatures if it is forgotten or misplaced.

• Upgraded heavy-duty metal components for increased durability and peace of mind.

• Now features Charlie Victor Products branding and a longer length for improved comfort.
